I know this team has a lot of needs, but if we drop out of a premier draft spot, I think this dude is a Barkley level talent.

He is talented but just look at the raiders and falcons with Jeanty and Robinson. Good job players but really not helping them win games. Would like to see the saints spend their first pick on another position

Unfortunately we have Barley at the Giants level talent at the moment.

I would try and trade as many OL and DL as possible

Would Love to pair him with a receiver in the 1st 2 rounds.

Dream scenario is to trade down and take the BPA guy out of Love, Tate, Tyson, Lemon, Boston, Sadiq to go with an extra pick next year

if he played for lsu your post would be 100 percent downvotes

Love is the #1 player I want us to draft. Then our backfield will be…

Unless you draft a generational type running back, Adrian Peterson, it’s not worth drafting a running back in the first.
Skattebo was outperforming Jeanty before his injury. And he went in the 4th

No way I'm drafting a rb with a top 5/10 pick.
The back would have to perform on jahmyr Gibbs for me to even think about drafting him in the first.
The lions took Gibbs at 12 overall but he is special as a runner and receiver. Bi'jan Robinson is another back I'd take in the first.

In the last 10 drafts, these are the RBs who were taken in the top 15 picks:
Jeanty (6)
Gibbs (12)
Bijan (8)
Saquon (2)
Fournette (4)
McCaffrey (8)
Elliott (4)
That is an extremely high hit rate with only Fournette and Jeanty not being All Pro level players and Jeanty will likely significantly improve if in a better situation. This generation of running backs are also weapons in the passing game, which I think increases their value to an offense above the conventional role of the RB. The big knock on RB is durability, but this should not be a concern on the rookie deal

Achane (84)
Cook (63rd)
Taylor (41st)
Henry (45th)
Irving (125th)
Hall (36th)
Henderson (38th)
Kamara (67th)
I could keep going but I’d rather take my chances on a RB between rounds 2-4.

List all of the running backs drafted in rounds 2-4, not just the good ones. You’re cherry picking

We’ve invested heavily in the offensive line through the draft for years now, and the defense has been playing at a high level since Chase Young got back. I’m all for drafting skill positions and would be excited for Love and a receiver in rounds 1 and 2.
Also we saw what Kellen Moore did with Saquon last year. I think he’d be really excited and could do some special things with Love

Love would be great to have playing for us, but drafting a RB high in the first just isn’t a smart move for a team with needs at critical positions. RB is a luxury position that is easily filled in later rounds.
