Can this guy stay on the field at the same time as Demario, or do they play same position?
He is all over the field this preseason and just gives off those Kwon Alexander vibes of rehabilitating an oft-injured player's career

They need to take him out of this game, I’ve seen enough

He's the guy who looks exactly like Demario but wearing a different number

My guess is that he and Warner will split time and play when the other is hurt.

Did you watch him play last season for the Giants?

No. From what I read, he had a down year. He’s had a great preseason and Warner has been oft injured the last two years. That was the basis for my comment.

Reports say Smith is filling it at both LB spots in practice and is likely going to back up both Davis and Werner

If he sees the field in any capacity, that's a bad thing. He isn't good.

He’s a practice squad player that’s been cut multiple times. He never fully recovered from that injury he had pre-draft. He’s a name, nothing more.

Never knew who he was prior to signing with us so not that big a name huh?
He’s also our third best LB; nothing more, nothing less

I know right.
I mean the guy sure has a lot of starts in the NFL for a PS type of guy.

He's really good at one thing.
"See ball, attack ball."
Unfortunately for him he doesn't play off ball well and the Saints rely on to many 2 LBer sets to carry him as a one trick pony. He's the first call up from the PS if someone goes down.
Yes there is a reason he was available that late into camp, but it shows the incredibly weak state of the Saints LBers atm.

I watched him at ND. I followed his recruitment out of HS. I know exactly who he is. I also know this is his 4th team since 2021 and only saw the field for others due to injuries and depth issues.

… which will still be the case here
Y’all put way too much energy into a backup
