the Saints were loaded in 2006 and got steamrolled by the Bears in Chicago

This is my biggest problem with his dismissal, other than the dismissal itself. Firstly, the Saints were coming off of a 3-13 season, new coaching staff, hurt QB, 2nd overall pick and a host of guys noone heard of. How is that loaded?

Secondly, I don't recall it being a "steamrolling" in Chicago. They fell behind early, made a push and came up short.

I get his reasoning. In It seems like he has us at 5 overall. I just don't see how you think THIS New England team is going to be any different. The don't match up that well physically against the Ravens/Steelers.

What the frick does the 2006 season have to do with our chances of winning the SB five years later?

06 was the least talented team in the Sean Payton era. That guy has no clue what the hell he is talking about.

I think the game this week away, against a surging (urgent) Titans team, will speak volumes to where, or where we aren't going

Any team that can get to the playoffs with omar stoutmire and josh bullocks starting at safety and fred thomas at corner is some kind of anomaly

Let me say that I don't agree....BUT...our record on the road during the playoffs is scary. That is the only point he makes. At home we are money but on the road something happens to this team. I do believe they can and will pull it off but from someone who doesn't live and die with the Saints, I can see their point about the Saints on the road for the playoffs.
