Winston can be a top tier QB

Remember Arians is an idiot. The team was 7-5 until Brady fixed the offense on their bye week.

The best reason to wish Brees would make his retirement official is so that we can go ahead and make our deal with Winston so all the Mac Jones/Dam Darnold threads can finally stop.

And just like that, the Saints fell to a perrenial 2nd or 3rd spot in the NFC South for the next decade...

If the Bucs play Arians way all last year they would not have won the Super Bowl

It was stated multiple times during the Super Bowl they got rid of a lot of the “no risk it no biscuit” stupidity of Arians and put in the Brady offense.

It's almost like you're purposefully ignoring the fact that Winston was a turnover machine even before Arians.

This weird post-Bucs Jameis apologist crowd needs to GTFO. It's like I'm watching you all crash a car in slow motion. Stupid people can't play QB in this league for long and Winston got away with it for a long time over there.

Please - for the love of God - find someone else other than Jameis Winston. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! ANYONE ELSE!

Brees scored a 28 on the wonderlic

Considered a smart guy

Jameis scored 27 and you think he’s a bumbling idiot?

Bucs have maybe one more year before Brady retires and the Bucs are in the same boat as us. Carolina is a team to watch out for if they hit on a qb. Falcons are falling apart

I was coming to say this. If anything Jameis has been praised for his ability to scan the field and process. I Really think if CSP can tone him down with his risky throws and keep him within his system then he can be really good. The whole immaturity thing and bad decisions in the past is old stuff. It was a very mature move for him to come to New Orleans and sit behind drew and Taysom for a year.

Jameis is plenty smart enough to be a good quarterback. Decent wonderlic score and Gruden/others said he was incredibly impressive going over X’s and O’s Pre-draft.

He just needs to stop being overly aggressive.

I'm not worried about his maturity, im worried about his football

You don't just magically stop being the qb you are by sitting behind brees for a year.

30 interceptions
12 fumbles
7 pick sixes

It is well known that qbs throw more ints in Arians system. Payton, Palmer, and Luck all saw an uptick in interceptions in his system. Before that year, Jameis never had a year over 18 picks. Guys like Testeverde (35 picks), Brett Favre (29 picks), and Payton Manning (28 picks) all had high picks in a season during their careers and were able to lower those numbers and have a successful career afterwards. No reason that Jameis can’t improve and take care of the ball better especially in Payton’s system. We dont need him to be jacking up 40 passes a game
