Winston was never going to start again in New Orleans
He's a backup for a reason

1-year deal worth up to $8.7M with the #Browns.

Winston fielded interest from multiple teams

This can't be accurate; we've been told for the last few years the Saints over paid because they were the only team to actually show interest in him

Long overdue. Time to move on from Crabby. We know what he is and what he does.

Jumped on spotrac to see what the dead money hit would be, in one place it says $10.7M dead in another it says it's $7.3M dead
quote:

2025-27 years automatically void 3/13/2024 ($7.3 dead cap)

Obvious typo, but holy shite this is funny
quote:

If Winston is on the roster March 15, 2024, $107M of future bonus guarantees

That's one hell of an incentive

Throwing Jake Haener into a regular season game would work out just as greatly as it was playing Ian Book

such a terrible move to dump a bad backup commanding $8.7mm per year

What is he costing us this year (cap) to not be on our roster?

at a certain point you have to dump him and eat the cap hit. he was extended last time to alleviate that issue

it's time to go

What’s Garrett Grayson up to? Should we?

He had a $4.6M cap hit already on the books. His contract voiding jumped that number to either $10.7M or $7.3M. I think it's the $10.7M, but spotrac specifically called out the $7.3M

It's all going to fall on 2024? If so, that helps out 2025 a bit.

Get Joe Flacco

Flacco will do same thing as last season. Enjoy his money and family time until some team needs him.

I doubt he has any desire to go through a training camp.

Winston was NEVER going to stay in N.O after his blatent
disregard for Saints authority (DA) in the ATL. game. All
those shat stirrers will be gone.
