Once Fisher's players are gone Mcvay will be jobless. It's clear the guy can't build a team without bringing in already established players.

This kind of seems like a desperation move on their part

This. Ramsey is great no doubt but how much did you really upgrade over Peters? I don’t think they’re that much better off in was never really a position of need for that team.

Jobless? He will be hired as a HC minutes after he’s fired. His barber got a NFL head coaching job just because, everyone wants the next McVay

it was a very high price but they def upgraded over Peters.
Peters was good his first couple seasons now he is super overrated.
I also agree with the rams being in a bad spot in a couple years
they are already feeling it.
the o line problem is from no money left

i wouldnt be surprised if they try to move gurley, he has a big contract and overpaid for the return they get from him.
not saying he doesnt earn his money, just that they can get that production for much less with other guys.
if i had to pick a second option maybe they try to move cooks as well because im guessing he only has 1 or maybe 2 years left on his contract.
i think its a given they will need some fancy shuffling to make the cap work for them.
we will also have some things to work out with teddy and taysom both FA and will drew be back or not? i think he will for at least 2 more years but who knows?

They want the next McVay now. They won't want him when he buries the Rams into the ground.

Curious to see how they keep him long term paying a DT QB money, a midget WR, a RB with bad knees, and an OK QB big money.
i believe that the rams improved with this move, but this move shows a "right now" attitude. there is simply no way to pay a very short list of players that much much money AND trade away draft picks and sustain a winning team.

Maybe they just don't like you lol.

Giving 2 first rounds for him is stupid in my opinion.

He is on the hook till 2023 for like 80 million.

He is just as likely to further their meltdown as he is to improve their defense

the rams are going to be terrible in 2 years. they already have huge contracts on the books for multiple players and now you're going to pay ramsay big money as well? possibly fowler too if they don't want to lose him. I can't wait for them to implode

Absolutely.
A terrible deal for that franchise.

Idiots in LA dont know about football. Rams have to win this year to get that PSL money for Hollywood Park (which is really in Inglewood - be like naming it French Quarter Stadium and building it at the old Six Flags).
Season tickets come with a 10 year commitment and minimum $6000 PSL fee for the cheap seats. They are trying to raise $1 billion in PSL revenue this year. It doesn't matter how they do next year or the year after - just this year.

ah ok, i didnt pay attention to what contract terms he got
i didnt realize it was a long term and thought it might just be a 3 or 4 yr deal

They gave up a lot for him.
They already have so much money invested in their QB and whatnot that they probably would have been better off drafting well with friendlier contracts, but Idk.
I didn't think their D was really the issue, but Tampa did light them up.
