Got hurt last year. Still would take. 26 years old. Man that’s a long ways to go with the right team. Either him or Jordan Matthews.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are thinning out their receiving corps.
The team is releasing Allen Hurns, NFL Network Mike Garafolo reported.
ESPN first reported the move.
Hurns, a 2014 undrafted free agent, signed a four-year, $40.05 million contract in 2016. Cutting the wideout saves the Jags $7 million on the salary cap with zero dead money.
The move comes after Jacksonville added receiver Donte Moncrief in free agency and re-signed Marqise Lee. Expect Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole to see their roles increase in Year 2 in Jacksonville.
After a solid rookie campaign, Hurns burst onto the scene in 2015 with a 1,031-yard, 10-touchdown season. After signing his big deal, the wideout struggled to replicate that production. He totaled 961 yards and five touchdowns combined the past two years while missing 11 regular season games.
Given the strong market this offseason for secondary receivers, the 26-year-old should have little trouble finding a new home.
Hurns joined Jacksonville with Allen Robinson in 2014. Now both exit in the same offseason.

Hurns has led the nfl in drops per receptions the last two seasons.
The jags threw a ton his good season. He was force fed a lot of targets in catchup mode. Not sure it’s an accurate representation of his talent as he has opportunities to perform after that season and fell flat
There are 7-10 better WR available imo. Decker being 1

But yet his catch % was the highest of his career (69.6) and he has a 56% catch% for his career.
I remember another WR that had trouble throughout their carrer with drop passes that the Saints signed in the 2017 offseason...and this WR went on to have the highest catch % of his career (75.7).
Sometimes its more about WHO is throwing you the ball.

I’m just shocked by the saints lack of interest in the WR market. This year’s draft is complete trash for WRs (which really explains why WRs got so much money in this FA period), so we really need to try and get someone. Our WR group is one MT injury from being the unquestionable worst in the NFL.
I’d love to go get Matthews. I loved him as a prospect, and I think he’d kill it for us in the slot.

We need a slot WR that does not drop the ball.
We need a TE that can run down the seam and catch the ball.
Everything else confuses me. :)

Catch rate and drop rate are not the same thing
You can tie catch rate to QB accuracy. His catch rate correlates with bortles career high comp % and hurns career low depth of target
Drops are tracked by the sites based on dropped catchable balls
Ginn made a marked improvement with his hands. But drops are drops and he improved. And he still dropped Brees dimes dating back to the preseason
Hurns, his teammate marquee lee (and Ginn) have been regarded as some of the worst hands in the L
And I do agree it matters who is throwing the ball. Which is why there are a few guys available that Brees can truly elevate

Christian and Bobby just reported that Hurns said we’re interested.

Hurns said he's already been in touch with the Bears, Bills, Panthers, Saints, Raiders, Texans and Jets, who he plans to visit on Wednesday. "Once we get the offers, we finalize things as far as the quarterback situation, the offense, things like that as far as the opportunities I'm going to have," said Hurns. "With certain teams, you might possibly take less to play with this quarterback or in this offense." The 26-year-old was cut by Jacksonville after losing his spot to Donte Moncrief.

Looking at that list of teams it's pretty clear Brees is on the list of QBs he'd take less to play with. Carr may be the only other one on that list. Maybe.
Edit:
Forgot Watson. He may mean him also.

I mean I'm not doing anything possible to get hurns.
I'd rather Jordan Matthews over anyone.
Have a feeling his asking price is high.
The drops with hurns don't bother me as much as some. Even the best receivers in the league have drops in any given year.
Davante Adam's had 5 last year. So did Crabtree so did thielen.
And yeah hurns didn't get as many targets but that's why u only sign him if he's cheap.
He's big and will help with lack of te so would matthews

Also just saw that his routes run out of the slot went way down last year from his best year in 2015 .
He also had a bad hamstring injury which we know how an injury can take someone out there game.
Just look at snead he looked like a completely diff player
