Round 1 Pick 27 (OAK): Smith Jr, Irv, TE, Alabama (A-)
Round 6 Pick 4: Henderson, Darrell, RB, Memphis (A+)
Round 6 Pick 29: Bars, Alex, OG, Notre Dame (A+)
Round 7 Pick 30: Ferguson, Jazz, WR, Northwestern State (A+)

I traded back into the first with our 2nd, 5th and a 2021 1st rounder. Went heavy on offense. Our defense is solid, with Patrick Robinson coming back, a healthy Davenport and some FA pieces they’ll be fine.

Why draft a running back? Trading that much for a te isn't a good idea.

Irv smith better be Antonio gates and Tony Gonzalez to justify that trade.

I’d be down with that if he dropped. It’s pretty much a wasted draft year anyway and we will be in a period of transition. It’s not like Murray doesn’t have a freaking cannon. I think they said he’s basically 5’10” in socks.

Round 6 Pick 29: Brady, Tyre, WR, Marshall (A+)
Round 7 Pick 30: Homer, Travis, RB, Miami (FL) (A+

The TEs I have already fallen in love with this draft went early. So stocked up offensive talent for what could Drew's swan song season.

I think Smith will be great and be deadly in the Saints offense but like you’re saying, that’s giving up to much. If they think he can be half as good as Gates or Gonzales, go after him. I wouldn’t though.

I’d pass on drafting a RB. They can find serviceable RB’s through FA if needed.

I like the Jazz Ferguson pick. Dude has a lot of potential.

Do teams trade up to get TEs?
I seriously doubt we draft a RB unless MI signs elsewhere (which I doubt)

Dislike. The kid had a good team at Auburn and couldn't win. He is just not very good with the game on the line.

Edit: I just saw it was a 5th rounder but I still don't like the kid as a prospect.

I thought we had 2 7th rounders after the DT Lawrence trade with the Browns during final cuts. Not a big deal though.

I'd say there's about a 95% chance that we draft a RB with 1 of those late round picks. Our target would have to fall to us, but I think DE is a huge target in the late rounds as well.

Generally speaking...OG/OC, RB, WR, & DB are the positions that have the highest hit rates in the late rounds. I'm not counting FB, K, P, & LS b/c I doubt we draft 1 of those this year.

Sometimes you can get lucky & have a legit TE fall to you in the 5th round. That's where George Kittle was drafted.

Generally speaking...QB, OT, DE, DT, & LB are usually picked clean by the late rounds.

I thought Stidham had a ton of raw talent, but he could never put it all together. I'd take him late in the draft if CSP thought that he could get him on the right path.

I have no clue how to develop a QB, so I would stay far away from him. Not sure what CSP would think of him though.
