It is time to trade Drew to a team that is a quarterback away from the Super Bowl. Do you think we could get a #1 for him or possibly more. Drew it has been a great run but all good things must come to an end. Saints need to start all over and build thru the draft....

How have we made it this long into the season without this fresh and original thread?

what team is a QB away from the super bowl?
how are we ever going to get value for a 1st ballot HOF QB?
ask yourself these things before you post.

It's a real tough situation to even ponder.
Yeah we don't look close to championship level but do you want to join the no QB club already? Add to that he's the best player in your franchise history.
On the other hand bad drafting and personnel decisions have handcuffed the organization so much that maybe the complete tear down and rebuild is what is needed to move forward.
I have no clue what I would do as an owner in this situation. There really is no good answer into. Well besides having the GM's head that is...

Belichik wouldn't have to because he'd have a team that competes for championships every year.

Who can yall play/get that is better?
McCown won't have the same next week, even with playing the Cowboys.

You would be hard pressed to get anything for Drew at this point, his arm was weak on NFL standards before his injury. He would not pass a team physical at this point anyway.

Only team that would give us a first round pick for a player that age is someone who is picking late in the draft. Those teams are pretty set at qb

Honestly, the Bengals. Dalton is decent during the regular season, but he has shite the bed in 4 straight playoff games.

In order to give us fair trade value, that team would have to deplete its roster. Then they would have an aging quarterback and no short term hope and we would be a quarterback away.

Jets?
St. Louis?
Houston?
Hell, Cleveland was willing to give up a couple #1s for Mariotta. They're desperate.

No one would give us a #1 pick for a QB with maybe 3 mediocre years left. If they needed a QB they'd use that pick to draft one.

So Brees is now mediocre.
