Kinda leaving out a bit of important information in that both have started in college since their freshman years and have at least three full years of starting experience in college.

If I have to explain it to you, then you didnt do any research on Shough clearly.

Shough attemptted 951 passes in college.

Jayden atteptted 1438 passes.

Lets pretend Shough has no experience tho!!!!!!!! Time to play make beleive.

And I’m pretty sure this board clowned Sean and the falcons for their picks last year. Now they’re using the picks to justify our stupid organization. It’s amazing to see these mental gymnastics in real time

If you werent a fricking moron, you would say that picking Bo Nix was clearly the right move by SP/Broncos.

Talk about mental gymnastics how dumb are you?

P brain compared Shough to Michael Penix, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix

The comparison is age moron, not a direct stat to stat comparison.

Also if you compare stats, you would see that Jayden and Shough had one good season and Pennix/Nix had 2. Pennix had years worth of knee injuries also, but you wouldnt know shite like that since your just a complaining Karen. Pennix had like 3 seasons ended by knee issues.

Shoughs stats in his one good season were not heisman level, but insight shows that he played extremely well in his offense, without bowl stats included because he wasnt in the bowl game.

Go watch his games last year v Miami/Notre Dame and get back to me Karen.

Beany why are you comparing heisman candidate QBs to a middling 25 year old ACC QB?

See above moron, age and injuries are directly comparable. Pennix tore one of his acls TWICE. Falcons have him and no one gives a frick, he went 8th overall. And Shough went 40th. If he was a Heisman canidate he wouldve went higher.

Your just an uninformed idiot.

What you wouldve said if your werent trying to play pretend.

But hey spin his age however you want Karen. Drastic difference!!!!!! Sky is falling!!!! Wahhhhhhh

I get it Mel, the Saints didn’t draft Shedeur and you are upset. Drafts over. I wasn’t terribly impressed with the pick, but if the O line lives up to its potential and they are able to run the ball, I believe he has the chance to be a decent QB in his rookie year.

What is the big debate here?

Shough is a pretty athletic QB that more than likely aced all of the interviews they did with him, and impressed with his maturity and manners.

They're betting on character.. which isn't exactly the worst thing since there have been plenty of 1st round QBs with more "success" at the college level who haven't amounted to jack shite. Pickett, mac Jones, trubisky, fields, rosen, Zach Wilson, trey Lance, hell even Trevor Lawrence hasn't exactly lifted the Jaguars to contention

Are we of the belief that these guys have bad character?

Nobody here was talking about him
Now they're melting because the Saints picked a qb they didn't pre-approve. They think they know more about QB evaluation than CKM.

Tebow was a better college passer than Shough

Tebow was also 6’3” 235, interviewed well and looks great in workouts

If we drafted him you’d be like, “in Moore we trust!”

I'd be fine with that. I hate the pick but he's here now and it'd be beyond great if it works. The problem is people keep saying increasingly asinine things to praise the pick. Saying he and Jayden had one good season, as if those seasons were in the same universe of quality, is crazy.

sure, but no one knows anything, it's just a bunch of people trying to put down markers so they can brag about how they predicted this or that five months from now.

Not at all. Just saying there have been plenty of QBs taken earlier than Shough that were thought to have 1st round pedigree, and then they all got out-played by Brock Purdy

Point being -- we have no idea. The guy clearly has a good head on his shoulders so they must think they create a scheme around him

........ that or they panicked because of Carr being a douche canoe and made a knee-jerk pick

The same people who loved Carr and thought that this team would compete are the same ones here talking themselves up to Shough at pick 40. They defend Loomis. They wanted to give Allen leash. It’s blind fandom, which fine, but they do not like to live in reality
