You're right. The million dollars was a reference to Michael Thomas, which I did not make clear at all.
Wasn't the final gap between what the Saints offered MI and what Baltimore paid him like 500K?

We are fans, this is their profession and he wants what he deserves. I don't blame him and he has every right to negotiate his deal.

I hope he sits out another week. He probably doesn't want to go out in the heat to training camp. At the rate the salary cap expands he definitely deserves the money. Let him rest.

That's an amazingly narrow minded way of thinking about it.
It's a two way street. And, the Saints (apparently) are willing to renegotiate his deal a year early AND give him #1 WR money. Is Thomas willing to give that up over a million bucks?
The offer is very reasonable. It can't reasonably be considered low. If the Saints want to play hard ball, they hold more cards than Thomas.
