Is the interest in Clowney a sign that the staff has lost confidence in Davenport?

Or is it just us trying to go all in this year for Brees final season? I find it hard to believe they are throwing in the towel with Davenport as he’s been very good when he’s been in the field but injuries have kept him out a lot. What does everyone think?

Think it has more to do with Baun’s injury personally

Baun is back at practice. This is an all in move. Having multiple. Pass rushers to rotate into the game makes your defense lethal

I think it’s a combination of Davenport’s injury history and Brees’ final year. Long-term, I think there’s hope for Davenport to be a force off the edge if he can just stay healthy, which is a big if...

I think they know depth is crucial and they have the opportunity to add a great player and they are all in to win this season.

I mean think of the pass rush packages we can put together with Cam, Clowney, Davenport and Onyematta. And all those guys are good against the run too.

Davenport played in the playoffs in ‘18

All three of those guys can play all over the line, even OLB in certain packages

People who say Davenport been have no clue about football. He had 15 tackles 6 sacks if you take away Tb game 3 sacks. He had 2 games last where pff didn't give him a failing grade for game performance. Trust me he has not been worth a 1strnd pick. If Davenport played for Mia we wouldn't know him. Pff doesn't have him a top 50 De

You're flat out wrong. He had a very good pff score, & his run defense was borderline elite. He had a lot of QB pressures as well.

He almost always had a positive score. His 1st 2 games were subpar, but then he was a damn good player the rest of the year.

Hopefully you're thinking of someone else, b/c you whiffed big time.

Dude, you must be looking at some bad info. His score was 84.1 last year.

I'm the guy that posted the pff scores every week last year. Trust me.

You can't see where he ranks at his position unless you pay for premium. Devenport's 2019 pff
