Not a wannabe but you can take what u want. Look I hope he shows up week 1 and plays great but many people have their doubts coaches included.
I don't doubt really the context of what you are saying they are saying but its just really speculation still. I rather byrd miss 4 games if he thinks he needs more time. It pisses me off too but we still need to be focused on getting his career back on track, not immediate impact.

who are these many people? the coaches? can your "sources" inform you on what coaches feel this way? what it seems to me is that your throwing shite on the wall, and getting people to believe it's the Mona Lisa. and to your credit, you sucked a few into this thread - and i congratulate you on that.
how about waiting to see if the guy shows up week 1 and leaves it on the field, before you start a thread shitting on the guy. if he doesn't produce on the field, he deserves all the negativity he is getting - but until then, lets waiut and see huh?

All I was trying to get across was that something just doesn't smell right with Byrd at this point. I asked about him and the response was he has been totally MIA at team activities even though the few times he has been seen he obviously doesn't have some major hidden leg injury (walking fine, no crutches, etc)

FWIW a guy asked Larry Holder on Twitter after 2nd preseason game about Byrd and if he's even alive. Holder said Byrd was on the sideline during the 2nd preseason game via his Twitter so there's that.

LIES! this completely blows the OP's ridiculous theory out of the water....YOU TAKE THAT BACK

he gets better treatment than the average joe right?
Definitely. As I said in a previous post, their resources for rehab are far superior than anything you or I would ever have. But, as I also said, there's far more risk in coming back from his injury compared to high school football, or recreational flag football. This guy has millions of dollars in future contracts on the line, and his job involves potentially being hit by 6'3", 250LB guys who run a sub 4.5 40.
quote:Agreed, and I've admitted to that. I'll never compare my injuries in the aspect of "Well I started playing flag football 6 months post-op, so why isn't this guy ready to go 6 months post-op?" the way that some people do. However, I can attest to such things as different people, even different injuries on the same person, heal so much differently from one another. It's almost impossible to even compare one professional athlete's injury to another, even with the same injury.
I don't know if trying to compare things from our own experiences is the best way to go.

You are gonna get your "friend" fired.

Nah. Btw, I heard that Byrd was at the 2nd game but not on the sidelines fwiw. Look hopefully Byrd is fine, I am totally wrong, and this is all a bunch of nothing.

Kyle Williams is very close friends of JB, according to him Byrd was extremely upset after missing most of last season and mentioned a couple months ago how quick he wants to be back on the field

wonder if he had a knee scope or something in past week or so similar to spiller.

The part that gives me big concern is that he is no where to be found at practice or at the games. If he just "doesn't feel ready" then why isn't he at practice on the bike or on the sidelines for the games with the rest of the team.
You said in the OP that he's been totally MIA at practice then followed it up that he's been jogging on the sidelines at practice.
Maybe he's doing PT during the afternoon sessions, but your posts don't make logical sense
The only news we have had is that they expect him back next week, and that was from SP. Until he misses that date, there isn't a reason to think something else is wrong

Quit saying totally MIA. If he's being seen, he's not totally MIA.
Also, as was always stated, he was on the sidelines
It was reported weeks ago, after being at those practices, that he'd be rehabbing and working away from the team. He isn't allowed to practice until we take him off the PUP. We'd be fining the frick out of him if he was cleared by the Saints and not participating

He was not on the sidelines just at the game.
I said he was MIA except for a practice or 2 jogging on the sidelines. The statement applies. I guess we will see week 1.

you need to RA this thread and have it deleted. Nothing you have said is even remotely true...

Posted on 8/31/15 at 12:36 pm to jorconalx
What isn't remotely true? I just said he hasn't been seen or MIA at practice except for 1 or 2 brief appearances in camp and he hasn't been on the sidelines for the games.
Hell Fazande (not who I talked too) mentioned how he has been mysteriously absent except for 2 appearances jogging on sidelines at practice on a recent podcast.

You've already walked back 2 separate statements in this thread. The friend that did then doesn't work for Saints, then Byrd be totally MIA to just MIA. Seriously, this thread needs to be deleted. It's fiction...
