re: Is it time to cut ties with Garrett HartleyPosted by The Sad Banana on 10/1/12 at 8:39 am to St Augustine
Get a pass? No. Just don't forget it.
And of all the things wrong with this team right now, I can't believe my eyes that a fire Garrett Hartley thread is sitting in front of me.
ETA: And if Corey White is going to continue getting broiled on defense an Johnny Patrick is rotting on the bench, what makes anyone think they are going to make a change at kicker?

not long. kicking is right here right now, in the moment. What have you done for me lately.
Remember, hartley has cost us more games than he has won at the end. at least 3 he cost us and 1 he won. I mean if we are not counting misses that did not cost us the game or were not at the end of the game(regardless whether we won or lost that is) like last week(loss) and the two against Minny in 2010(win), etc, then we cannot count the non-game winning makes like he did in the SB. fair enough? I think so.

I appreciate the hell out of that...but how long do you get a pass because of that?

I had pretty much prepared myself for him to miss it even though they gave us 5 yards back
same here. i turned to my gf and said, "we're done, i have zero faith in him." and boom, he missed.

Aside from the game winner vs Minn, Reggie was more productive in '09 for the Saints than Hartley was in '09.
Look where Reggie is. That pass should have run out on Hartley last year. I could understand not making a move during the lockout season, but after a year long injury and no reason to think he was going to come back at a higher level than the mediocre level he was at in '10, especially after an injury, a move should have been made with no hard feelings, a pat on the back and his walking papers in hand.
