I hope we do. He’s a big reason the offense can run the way it does.

I want him back. I think his age isn't as much of a factor because he didn't get the carries in his early years that other running backs have. And he's not going to cost top shelf money either

Do you want mike Gillespie again? That was awful

We could always draft a RB

That being said I’d like to see Ingram stay

We need another Pierre Thomas, Ingram is good, but Pierre would run over people better than Ingram, he could catch and block too, and he was un-drafted when we picked him up.

He’s worth way more to us than he would be to any other team. At 29, I don’t think he could get any more anywhere else than we can give him. And he’d be able to play longer and he seems to be pretty damn happy. I think something definitely gets worked out. We have no draft capital to draft another running back anyway. Certainly not one guaranteed to be as good and complimentary as Ingram.

Strong case can be made that Ingram is the most under appreciated Saint of all time

resign or re-sign?

There's a big difference.

Up there but it's gotta be Strief. He was a late 7th rounder who contributed or started for a decade and half the fanbase talked about him like he was Bryce Harris.

Pierre Thomas was catching lightning in a bottle. UFA RBs like him don’t grow on trees.

Agreed. I don’t buy jerseys often, but I really want to buy an Ingram jersey but want to wait to see if we re-sign him If he re-signs he’s a Saint hall of fame lock

That being said, I think Ingram knows his situation. He’s 29 but hasn’t had a lot of carries and could potentially play a lot longer because he has Kamara with him to take carries away and lighten the load. That’s a huge thing to consider for a RB. Plus he’s really well loved by the team and FO. I think he stays after some heckling over guaranteed money or some shite

Here is the issues from where I see it.

No matter how the season ends it will either be looked at a success or another season building toward something.

Ingram is part of that and the desire is always to keep the band together. the pieces that I see are expendable at the Manti Tao's that have barely been a part of the run.

The trick is that Ingram will want his piece of the pie as he sees himself as a big part of that. Add in the fact that he was selected as the Saints' Man of the Year even when he was suspended and that means that he is a good locker room guy and a good fit for the chemistry.

We always over pay for that. Anything more than a 3 year deal with a team friendly 3 year is overkill.

I sure hope he re-signs, but for a reasonable amount. I dont think he's worth what he thinks he's worth this late in his career.
