Exactly.

Which is why when he retires, Loomis and Payton better look for jobs. No coach in the league is more overrated.

Down votes-bring 'em...

Not sure I agree about Payton. He made McCown look pretty damn good against a decent Panthers D with his playcalling.

Excellent play caller.

Has only managed one Championship with a HOF QB.

Brees is better than 4-7 on this list

He's top 10 to us and should be top 10 on everyone's list, but he plays in the smallest market in the league on a non-historic team

Brees is easily, EASILY top 10. Where he is ranked at on that list is debatable.

I will put him at number 1 on the list if he finishes with most yards, most TDs, highest completion percentage.

That means that he went out and got all of the NUMBER 1 records and was better at doing it than any other QB to ever play the game with the stat of highest completion percentage.

The longer that you play, the longet that it is to keep that average up high. He is consistant to be keeping those number up at his age. The next 3 years could put him at number 1 alltime. At least in my book!

Should be two championships. The blame goes to poor drafting and god awful defense. We should be competing every year with a QB like DB, but we will never win shite with shitey defensive play.

Montana: Brees has 3.2% better completion percentage, 69.5 yards more per game, and .6 more TDs per game.

Brady: Brees has 2.8% better completion percentage, 22.8 yards more per game, and .1 more TDs per game.

Manning: Brees has 1.1% better completion percentage, 10.2 yards more per game, and the same amount of TDs per game.

Farve: Brees has 4.4% better completion percentage, 42.8 yards more per game, and .3 more TDs per game.

Marino: Brees has 7% better completion percentage, 27.1 yards more per game, and .3 more TDs per game.

Young: Brees has 2.1% better completion percentage, 84.7 yards more per game, and .6 more TDs per game.

Elway: Brees has 9.5% better completion percentage, 60.7 yards more per game, and .7 more TDs per game.

There is NO QUESTION Brees is top ten. The question should be is he the greatest of all time?

I honestly would put Young and Brees neck and neck. What did young do that Brees hasn't done or surpassed?

Also, take into account the receivers that Brees has had in his career compared to the others. Colston was a very good wr for a long time, just never an elite wr. He also had Graham for a few years.

Montana, Manning, Marino, & Elway easily had better to work with(They each had 2 beast wr's and a beast TE). Brady, Favre, & Young also weren't hurting for receivers.

It depends on the criteria.

If you go by statistics and individual records only (today):

1. Favre
2. Manning
3. Brees (will probably finish #1 or #2 in most stats all time when he retires.)
4. Brady
5. Marino
6. Rodgers (could threaten #1 all-time in future.)
7. Elway
8. Montana
9. Rothlisberger
10.Tarkenton
Young
Kelly
Warner
Fouts
Moon
Namath
Aikman
Eli
B.Jones
Stafford
A. Manning
Testaverde

By Super Bowls Apps (in no perfect order)
Montana
Bradshaw
Brady
Elway
PManning
Staubach
Marino
Young
Griese
Kelly
Starr
Aikman
Eli
Simms
Tarkenton
Dawson
Brees

Old School: (in no order)
Unitas
Graham
Tittle
Luckman
Grange
Van Brocklin
Waterfield
Layne
Starr
Dawson
Jurgensen
Snead
Gabriel
