C'mon, no love for Billy Kilmer?

Billy the Kid is in the Top 5 with the other #17, Jim Everett.

Drew's already won one playoff game, which Archie never did.

Non factor. Brooks won a playoff game for criminey sake!

Archie Manning was decent but he's only memorable because the Saints were horrible most of the years and they had a decent QB. On any other team he'd have been forgotten, and if the Saints had a better team around him, he wouldn't be as big of a deal.

Wow! You have really missed the mark on this one! It was the general feeling of those who at the time, know/knew much more than any of us here on this board, that given a better supporting cast, say the Rams of that era, that Archie would have won multiple championships. There is of coarse no way to prove this point. but you statement is equally unprovable.

Did you see Archie play? Just askin' so don't be hatin'

It doesnt matter who you put out there for Brees to throw to, he will get them the ball. He is #1 by a long shot and I dont really care who is second.

You are kidding right? How many SBs did Archie win? Last time I checked they were dead even in that category.

No, I am not kidding. Archie Manning holds a special place for Saints fans who grew up in the 70s. He was a great player on atrocious teams fielded by a pathetic franchise that was the laughing stock of the sports world.

Consider what Drew would have done on those Saint teams.

I hope Drew throws for 6.000 yards this year leading the Saints to a Super Bowl win. But it will take more than passing yardage to make us old-timers forget Archie.

I agree that Brees is the best, and it's a good point that he makes the players around him better. The first two players to improve in Archie's presence were Payton and Eli.
