Rutledge? That would be a surprise, but a welcome one.

I remember someone saying here that the Saints weren't going to look at Downs because of the defense scheme we use depends heavily on good down field coverage. Apparently Downs is not that good covering deep

I would take Delane over Downs because of this, and that likely happens if we go defense and those 2 are available.

I think downs is a safe pick, but to be a game breaking safety you need to have down field coverage capabilities.

A lock down #1 corner back erases half the field, which if you think that's Delane or McCoy go ahead

the slot is where teams were going after the Saints the most last season

And this year if we don't fix the CB situation it will be big plays up the field. Remember Taylor is gone now. I'm sure we can find a slot CB/safety in the 3rd or 4th that will play that role well. We've done that in multiple drafts in the past.

Alontae Taylor was overrated. That's where he existed.

I could be crazy (I am) but it's like a lot of teams tend move their top WRs in the slot more.

it wasn't just teams creating mismatches on Taylor it's more common league wide.

I guess real GMs like him too. Even at 8.

Mickey Doomis not real GM he takes Tyson with more injury concerns than if he showed up at the combine in a wheelchair.Tore acl broken clavicle hamstring on both legs in November reinjures hamstring preparing for combine .Has private workout days before draft and Saints jump all over him.

Why would the chiefs trade up for Delane? The Redskins were taking Styles no matter what. I have a friend that’s a Skins fan and he said they wanted Love or Stykes. They had to believe we were taking him.
