For example, online siteslike Bovada and 5Dimes have the Saints between 18-1 and 22-1 to win the super bowl. Here at the sportsbooks in person, the Saints are 10-1 to win it all.

i'm thinking the Jimmy Graham situation had something to do with this... when you checked online, he had the potential to be a really high profile malcontent due to his contract situation and greivance...

but when you went in person, the contract issue was basically resolved and Jimmy's back for four more years

Thanks for translating for me, dcrews. I edited my OP to try to clean it up.

Anytime man. I understood what you were saying, but the gambling lingo is sometimes difficult to understand if you aren't involved in it

I find it impossible to gamble on CFB and NFL due to me having a vested interest in a particular team from each

Unless I see good value in a number, I'm not betting it, especially when it comes to LSU or the Saints.

But your teams aside, betting certain other games (even the Thursday and Friday night games), makes it exponentially more interesting and fun to watch. Even if you're just throwing down $5. Give it a shot, it amplifies the fun.

Not to mention the insane amount of pages the weekly betting thread gets. If you want to try it out, there are tons of people there (including myself) who are willing to help out new bettors.

But back on track. Saints (+1.5) is tricky. If you want the Saints, bet them now, because I don't see the number getting better for them.

Too many people are looking at Atlanta's team from last season and assuming they will be equally terrible this year. They won't be. Combine that with the fact that it took a last second fourth down stop in the red zone at the dome for us to get the win last year in the opener...dare I say your money is better off on the Falcons if you don't get the early Saints line.

For me this is most likely a no bet situation.

I placed my bets with my sports book the moment it was available to do. The numbers looked almost a little too good, and i didn't see them getting any better the closer the season got.

I've got us winning the division at +1700
Us winning the SB at +2300

Us vs. Atlanta with 1.5 points i've got 200 on that game.

Now the only question is do i bet the tigers first game....

Is LSU still -7 against Wisky? If so, I will take the Tigers.

Rosen, at the Venetian yesterday, I got LSU -5 vs Wisky. Maybe it's the P&G glasses but I jumped on that one for $100.

Yeah i'd say -5 for that game is pretty safe. I don't think i'd go anything more than that though. I don't see it being just an absolute blowout; only ONCE last season, did LSU cover the spread when i bet them.
