First, NFL future bets are horrendous for the bettor. For example, online siteslike Bovada and 5Dimes have the Saints between 18-1 and 22-1 to win the super bowl. Here at the sportsbooks in person, the Saints are 10-1 to win it all.

Also, the over/under for total regular season wins is now -170 for 10.5 wins.

While I think the Saints win 11 games or more, that's way too much uncertainty for -170. I did get $200 on week 1 vs. Atlanta. I get 1.5 points. By the end of preseason, the Saints will be giving 2 points.

ETA: sorry for the poorly worded post. I was typing from my phone. I tried to make a little more sense.

There is so much in that post that doesn't make sense that I don't know where to start.

I'm assuming he heard about the odds from some other source, yet the sportsbooks IN VEGAS are offering much worse odds/value.

He feels confident that the Saints will win more than 10.5 games, but there is terrible value at -170 (like a smart bettor would know.)

He bet $200 that the Saints would either win outright or that they would only lose by 1 point (since 1.5 points cannot be achieved. This is why half points are very important in sports betting)

quote:

By the end of preseason, the Saints will be giving 2 points.

He is saying the Saints will look impressive enough by the end of the preseason, that either bettors will bet the Saints heavy so that the line will go from Saints +1.5, to Saints -2 or Vegas will adjust the line on their own ahead of time (Meaning now the Saints would have to win by 3 or more to win a bet).

I took the Saints to win the NFC (6-1) and the Super Bowl (12-1) at Paris Las Vegas in June.

I find it impossible to gamble on CFB and NFL due to me having a vested interest in a particular team from each. Kinda like when you're in 4+ Fantasy Football Leagues for 500$ plus for the winner of each league. When I start cheering for Drew Brees and Roddy White in the same game, I have to step back and re-evaluate the frick I'm doing.

Geezus, they must love the Saints there? We were at 20-1 about 2-3 weeks ago when I checked on Bovada. Down to 14-1 this past Saturday.

My problem is when my opponent for the week has a Saints player on his fantasy team and I find myself hoping that player doesn't have the greatest game

I always cheer for the saints, regardless if a fantasy opponent has that person on the team or not. A saints win is far my important than a win in fantasy.

My one rule in fantasy- I will never, ever pick Roddy White.

Oh no I still cheer for the Saints just hope Drew throws a touchdown to Colston and not Graham. In the end I want a Saints victory and I've never drafted a Falcons player

I have the Saints to win the SB at 15-1 odds ($150 to win $2550 I think) and I also put $50 on the KC chiefs to win at 50-1 odds.. I liked their odds the best as a longshot. It was b/w KC at 50-1 and Indy at 25-1.
