In retrospect, who would you rather have gotten in 2008?

Glen Dorsey or Sedric Ellis?
5 years later its still a tough decision.

Since Ellis has retired I will say Dorsey.

Another player... Ryan Clady, Jared Mayo, Ray Rice, Matt Forte... All taken after him.

Dorsey. No contest. Not that Dorsey is good, but the Saints could've picked any other player besides Sed and it probably would've been a better pick.
Look at the D-line this year. You take Ellis and Smith away and they are beasting. No big FA signings either. The players were just stuck behind 1st round picks making good money.

Seriously? Dorsey is still contributing. This isn't even a tough question.

Didn't Dorsey go at 3? or was it 5? either way.....

They both are/were not that good, but you're right. One isn't retired so there's your answer.

Ellis. We won the fricking superbowl with the way things worked out. I'm not changing a damn thing.

Not trade up-stay at 10, draft Mayo or Clady, pick Jamaal Charles or Thomas DeCoud with 3rd round pick we lost in trade-up
Or
Trade back and draft Chris Johnson and DeSean Jackson

dorsey. played in a bad match of a system for too long

Schefter was working the draft for NFLN at that time.
I still remember him reporting that the Saints were offering two 1st rounders to move up to get Dorsey. Dodged that bullet

Ellis was pretty damned good the SB year. Id take that without knowing how Dorsey would have performed

Yea, its hard at this point to remember that he was productive for us for a while. I guess thats understandable considering how fricking bad he was his last season.

Dorsey, because he actually would have been good in our 4-3 system at the time. He was a square peg in a round hole in KC.

Dorsey making plays.

Ryan Clady. Dear god, we would almost be a shoe in for the Super Bowl if we had him protecting Brees' blindside.
