You people are insane putting it all on Cook. Brees was horrible. Those first 2 pics were absolutely terrible and dumb throws that led directly to 14 points.

Being up 14 in the 4th quarter might have given us a chance to run the ball more. If that is the case, maybe he doesnt throw those 2 other picks

Saints come out and score on an impressive drive Bucs punt Saints driving to go up 2 scroes (cook fumbles) Bucs socre a TD deflated Saints go 3 and out rest is history

“Rest is history” is that short for Drew sucked and couldn’t take us down the field for scores?

So saints go up 2 tds at that point. First they didn’t and secondly had anyone seen Tom Brandy play on playoff/ Superbowls before. No score is to big!

Sorry, I have seen the best RBs in the game have a ball stripped from behind. It happens. I can’t put this on Cook. The INTs were the killers. This is not the way I wanted Drew to go out, but that was the game.

What does the fact that a mid 3rd quarter turnover (that led to a a tie) felt like an insurmountable lead for your QB/offense say about how you feel for your QB/offense?

That isn't taking into account what that turnover provided for the Bucs. They weren't able to stop the offense on the first two drives of the second half when Cook fumbled. After that the Bucs had all of the momentum and their defensive backs started playing tighter giving Brees nearly no room to fit balls in to the receivers. You can act like it's Brees fault and he certainly didn't have a great game, but plays like the Cook fumble completely change the way teams play. Had he not fumbled and the Saints are up 14 entering the 4th quarter, you'd probably see the Saints defense clamp down with all of the spirit and momentum on their side. That cook fumble completely lost the game for the Saints.

The saints win going away, yeah I know Brees 3 ints etc. But at that point in the game we were driving for killshot and he fumbles, absolutely pathetic

Yeah, it was the killer.

Get up by hell, even 10 and we force the Bucs to pass more. It's when running the ball was helpful to them and our defense had to worry about it that the game really got away.

Totally changed the game state.

No doubt about it. It was the #1 deciding factor in the game. The only time I hollered at the TV all night. I knew that was the chance to pretty much put the clamp down on them. Instead, it gave them all the light/mojo they needed.

If Drew was better we would have blown them out going away.

Drew didn't play great but that Cook fumble effected the outcome more than anything. I don't give a shite what you say.

Drew threw 2. He hit cook right in the fricking cheat and Cook basically give it right to the defense.

And we still had the lead with drew throwing 2. His interceptions were irrelevant to the outcome of the game.

I blame SP. Payton allowed Brees to play with injuries at the team expense. It was more important for Drew to be a hero than the team advancing to GB.
It was obvious he had difficulties passing the ball beyond five yards. It was Brees not the Saints.
Not playing Winston was the turning point.

Also the last interception hit Cook in the chest before going up for grabs.
