Dalton: 1385 yards, 10 tds, 5 ints
Carr: 1299 yards, 5 tds, 3 ints
Pete hasn’t changed. Why is Carr worse than Dalton?

Much worse O-line play
And believe it or not, Pete is even worse this year with his offense being more outdated

One difference is Dalton was fine dinking and dunking and taking the check downs more frequently.
Carr much like Winston tries to go for the home run play more often when they should be checking it down.

Pete and Carr have failed to adapt to the terrible O-Line play. Pete keeps dialing up low percentage deep routes while Carr holds the ball waiting for them to open while getting sacked.

True but we’ve been completely incapable of getting to the second level in the run game and breaking runs greater than 10 yards which has also hindered our offense, especially in the redzone.
Our offense being bad is a combination of bad o-line, predictability, collapsing pockets, and poor coaching. The whole thing is borked.

Yea I talked myself into Carr because I thought he might have been able to add the vertical passing game to the underneath stuff but Carr hasn’t really been able to execute the short passing game so far.

OL and rushing game.

Don't have the time or desire to breakdown/rewatch the plays to see what's going on. But, if Pete keeps dialing up low percentage deep routes, what is Carr supposed to do other than just chuck the ball out of bounds. His dump off is stuck helping the o-line do their job (evident by that intentional grounding call), so he really doesn't have many options on those 5+ step dropbacks.
It's also obvious that he doesn't trust this WR to anticipate the openings. He had that trust with Waller & Renfrow in Oak/LV, but here he's late a lot which makes it seem like he won't pull the trigger until he knows it's there.
