I do miss those days when you cross a saints fan and ya'll could have an in-depth discussion about the team. Now, when you cross a so-called saints fan, it's like you're talking to a frickin chick about sports (not being sexist, some chicks know their shite)...they don't know what the hell your talkin about. But, oh well.

We'll have to invent some kind of "Are you a Bandwagon Saints fan" test. If you past the TRUE FAN test, then you can wear pins and patches so that everyone can know they are the TRUE Saints fans, not just Johnny come latelys................. Maybe you can start out by listing the questions for the test.

I think an obvious test would be, name 10, 15, 20 (whatever number) saints players that played prior to 2006.
I know my brother couldn't do it, he was all of a sudden a die hard Saints fan after 2006.

I thought about this, actually. I was born in 1970 and have been a die-hard fan since I was old enough to understand the game (about '76). So, obviously, I wasn't in Tulane Stadium on opening day. Still, I've suffered through alot of bad football and (until Jim Finks) bad team management.
Personally, I'm cool with bandwagon fans. It's good for the team and, as a true fan, that's good enough for me. They played in the last game of the season and, thanks to them winning and the resulting interest in the team, they'll play in the first game of next season. That means a shorter off-season to wait through!
