Jim Brown was awesome, dude had Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker size before they were born running through defenses like they were swiss cheese back then. And I'm sure you'll get the critics saying that the defenders were small back then, and that may be true at some positions, but a lot of them had good size. They were also some of the dirtiest players in the NFL in those days, I mean like trying to gouge out guys eyes and shite. Players like Butkus, Nagurski, and Deacon Jones and so on were dirty as hell. But Jim Brown ran for all those yards and played only 9 years, and played only 12 games a season. Dude retired young when he was in his prime and probably could have easily run for another 5000 yards. He retired to go be a movie star in Hollywood. I also forgot to mention an important omission, dude could run 100 yards in under 10 seconds at 6'2 - 230lbs.
