Yeah I mean I'd take Carr at $10M/year, but who is projecting that? He's going to demand $20M at a min and probably more than $25M AAV

You wish. 30+ million is the floor for a decent NFL starter (Kirk Cousins level). This includes Derek Carr. The star QBs are getting 45.

Yeah doing that for Watson made sense. He's elite and relatively young.

Blowing up your franchise for Carr? Just so we can claim we will be favorites to win the worst division in football? Why?

That's some next level denial/delusions. We are much closer to a bottom 5 team, than we are to a SB contender.

Carr is, at best, an average starting QB. Bringing him changes nothing.

I can see some of the fans here still haven't accepted how bad things are getting now that the Golden era (Brees/Payton) is over. We're gonna be a bottom dweller for atleast a few years.

No one is trading for Derek Carr. He's going to get released and the Saints will have to work out a deal to sign him to a new contract. I don't know what that will look like, but I would be on board for signing Derek Carr for about 3 years guaranteed.

We’re screwed for 4-5 years anyway. The Saints have the worst cap situation in the league on a .500 team. When we have to start making cuts things are gonna get bad real quick. We are entering the post Brees lull. We all knew it was coming but now that it’s here everyone wants to panic.

I don't think Carr gets traded. I think they cut him.

We should leave Carr alone, not a proven winner, similar to our HC

I’ve yet to see a single halfway decent argument for signing Carr

If Carr wants to play for a contender, he's going to have to give a little with his price. Obviously the best case scenario is for the raiders to release him bc idk who would take him with that contract unless he restructures
