He has a no trade clause he determines if he will go to team A or B.
The Texans don't have to trade him.
The compensation for the Texans isn't the issue.

Watson actually has to sign or e-sign a document before the trade can happen...and the document lists the team he is waiving the NTC for. The Texans can't accept anything until then.

The Saints have zero (trade) leverage other than walking away. If they call and offer more, the Texans can't do anything with it.
Now, they could call Watson and offer a better extension, etc. and that may work...

The Texans have some say, in being that have to accept a trade offer before Watson can exercise his NTC. They can say hey, Falcons ain’t giving up enough so we are taking them off to table, at which point you’re a Texan or you can be a Saint.
