Great story on the Saints' success, thanks to the running game. Lots of attempts to quantify Kamara's play:
quote:

"We can prepare for whatever we want, but he's got some elite ability"

quote:

Defensive end Cameron Jordan likens Kamara to Bruce Lee because he flows like water.

quote:

Panthers safety Kurt Coleman said during the week that Kamara is able to shake so many tacklers because his body "goes limp to the side"

quote:

"I was trying to get my best Alvin Kamara on. Trying to go in matrix mode," Ingram said.

He escapes so many situations where it looks like he's completely bottled up. It's really remarkable. Almost every back in the league goes down on that first TD.

the balance it took to get. that touchdown on 4th down was absurd. the way he just absorbed that shot and then lunged forward... just incredible

I'm wondering why I never heard about Kamara in college. The guy is a unique talent.

Go back and look at the tape. Kamara absolutely trucked that linebacker. Kid has a little Earl Campbell in him along with that matrix stuff.

Bc he was at Tennessee coached by butch jones and only won a total of 9 games in 3 years.

I can't compare kamara to anyone I've ever seen. The kid is amazing and does things no running back has ever done.

Found some Tennessee highlights here.

This was before his got his grill on.

Guess the Tenn. coach wasn't smart enough to give it to Alvin every play. He must have been a hurdler in high school.

Saw that replay last night (was onthe road for the first half of the game), and that was impressive. And that same hit knocked Jimmy Graham on his arse a few weeks ago.

Did we watch the same play? He got blasted on that play and moved backward but still somehow got the TD.

He stood up to a charging linebacker and put the guy on his arse before lunching into the endzone.

That's the play we were watching.

Apparently not. The gif posted does not do it justice since so many frames were deleted.

There was a view of the play from the end zone perspective that shows Kamara knocking the LB on his arse.

Not the end zone view but it shows the truckage.

Kamara trucks linebacker on forth down

I like Kamara. He’s an exciting player. He’s a magician and I want to learn the trick

I simply do not understand how he’s so hard to tackle sometimes.

Linebacker didn’t get trucked. Kamara got trucked, but Alvin Kamara is the living embodiment of inertia

never seen a hit that solid just get absorbed especially from a guy who looks like he's 205 lbs

You could see the hit coming and I was thinking "well damn, wasted this drive cause he's about to get drilled." Then he just shrugs it off and gets in anyway.

Linebacker IMMEDIATELY went to the ground.

Can we get a definition of "truck" so we can settle this?

Linebacker went to the ground because he left his feet to put a shot on him

Kamara just absorbed it. It was incredible. He also had a guy grabbing his feet. Just 1 on 1 that hit puts any RB on the ground or OOB
