The one thing that the Loomis/Peyton administration has excelled at is evaluating tremendous under-the-radar running backs. And our system, there is no need to pay top dollar for running back's.

Well you won't find a RB on the open market who can pass protect block as good as Ingram since he's the best pass blocking back in the league. But hopefully if he walks someone with close to equal skills in that level.

In a vacuum, I think the Saints can't/won't offer Ingram the best deal he'll get, and he signs elsewhere.
But, since the offense needs the balance a strong running game provides, and the running game clearly struggled the first four weeks of last season, the Saints will have to pay him more than they want and sign him.
This, of course, has ramifications elsewhere. DB9 being willing to play ball on a restructured contract has an outsized impact on what the Saints can or can't do in FA this offseason.

Draft one in 4th round. Not a panic situation

Boston scott ? Where he at

Yeah I can think of at least three times he launched a blitzing defender into the air on a block. He's a beast at picking up the blitz.

None of those. I think we resign MI barring a ridiculous contract from a Gruden type.

I hope we re-sign Ingram. Brees is unquestionably the leader and brain of the team but Mark Ingram is the heart of the locker room. Losing him would hurt more than we see on the field, imo. The recent team chemistry can't be overstated.
That said it just depends on what kind of money he wants.

Resign Ingram, keep consistency especially with Brees’ window closing.

I’d draft Josh Jacobs from Alabama

We don’t have enough picks to use one on a RB when we already have one in the building who we know can produce. Pay the man

Nope. He’s a poor mans Kamara. For the system to work we need Kamara and (a back like)Ingram not Kamara and (a back like) Kamara.

I actually love this idea.
He can catch which would be deadly combining him with Kamara out of the backfield and is also a big guy that can bang between the tackles if need be, making him a great replacement for Ingram’s role as well.
He also shouldn’t break the bank. Could be a great fit.

Spencer Ware.
Can also catch out of the backfield.

TJ in our offense could be really good.

You pay Ingram. Don’t mess with chemistry plus he’s excellent in pass protection. It’s not like he’s going to break the bank anyway. 3 years $12 million should do it.
