If DA is fired at the end of the year: Who would you want as our next head coach?

Obviously Ben Johnson would be at the top but let’s be honest, if we miss the playoffs, the Saints aren’t going to fire DA until the end of the year. By then, Ben Johnson could and probably will be hired by someone else.
Who else is there?
The easy answer seems like Bieniemy. But my vote would be for Shane Waldron, the OC for the Seahawks. Worked for years as passing game coordinator under McVay in LA. Won a SB with them. Worked for Belichick as well early in his career. Took journeyman Geno Smith and led them to a top 10 offense. Had a weird loss to the Rams this year where they only scored 13 points but then bounced back and scored 37 against the Lions and then 37 against the Panthers.

Ben Johnson,
Kellen Moore,
Todd Monken,
Dan Quinn,
Eric Bieniemy,
Lincoln Riley,
Aaron Glenn
Those are the likely names to be thrown around.

Maybe it’s because of what he went against, but I liked the game plan Canales just through out there for TB. Wonder what his prospects are

Ben Johnson is a dream hire

Lane but he’s happy where he is

He is going to end up in LA

It’s going to be a retread hire. No up and coming coach is waking into the disaster this franchise is with salary cap issues for multiple seasons, if Loomis stops the nonsense now, and a huge contract committed to sucky Derick Carr. The Saints are, at best, two head coaches away from even having a chance at getting anyone good.

How is this the easy hire? This would be a disaster.
Not sure why this keeps being said.
I’ll stick to what I said two years ago when I said Allen was a mistake.
Jim Harbaugh or bust. But I’d be ok with the Detroit OC but no reason for him to come here.,
