I think its pretty clear that we aren't moving forward with Winston next year.
If we can get Dalton cheap he'll be the guy next year with a rookie in the wings.
Personally I'd rather let Dalton walk and cut Winston to see what taysom can do. Get a rookie qb this class that has upside and let the chips fall where they may next year. Taysom has cut down massively on the turnovers and stayed healthy enough this year.

dude, you're regurgitating my lines from 2 years ago.
We've been capped fricked and that's been part of my reasoning. We double downed on monies for dudes that really were not any better.

My main concern is now what kind of GM will Loomis be.
Will he just keep kicking the can down the road, patching up a old pair of jeans and telling Gale "you are going to love what we did with them this year Gale".
Or does he have a longer term strategy with short term pain.
I hope it's the latter.

Most of Winston’s two year deal was guaranteed. We paying him regardless if he’s on the roster or not.
And doesn’t Hills salary ballon up if he’s the starter at qb for so many games? That would just be asinine to do.

Both options are better than Winston starting. It’s amazing how short some of y’all’s memories are on this board.
ETA: sorry I see what you’re saying now. You’re agreeing that starting Winston would be the best option for us to get a high draft pick next go around. Carry on.
