Let's say, hypothetically, Vaccaro comes in and locks shite down from day one and becomes the solid starter we need at one safety position. He never develops into a perennial all-star, but he is rock solid and supplants either Harper or Jenkins for good. Are you really, honestly going to be upset with the pick two or three years down the line because he's not a fricking Hall of Famer, or because he wasn't the "value" pick?

I understand reservations about this front office choosing a safety prospect, but the sky's not falling, and we're certainly not alone in our evaluation.

I didn't know every guy picked at 15 was supposed to be a hall of famer.

I know some intrepid poster could probably look up stats and find out how many players at 15 even became pro bowlers. It's probably not too high of a percentage.

If you can get a solid starter at 15, that's what you expect at that spot. Hell many top 10 players never become pro bowlers so to keep saying KV needs to be one to be worth it is retarded.

Edit:
This is in support of your statement bulldog. Certainly not directed at you.

Here is the history of the 15th pick going back to 1990. It's all over the place.

There's not one guy I see that's making the hall of fame. You have some pro bowlers but none of them perennial pro bowlers(JPP is the only one that even has a shot at that but it's too early to call).

If Vacarro is a solid 8 year starter that would be a good gauge of success for the value at 15.

He was too busy covering slot receivers for the so-called Texas "defense".

I remember when Matt Forte was the only weapon on Tulane's terrible offense. I guess he would never turn out well in the NFL because of those other things that were beyond his control.

And let's not forget that guys like Danny Weurffel played on great offenses and amounted to nothing.

Don't judge an individual for what his team does.

We're not even to Monday yet and already Vaccaro's image among Saints fans has gone from WTF? to solid practically overnight. When do the jersys go on sale?

Are you crazy or something? DOn't you read The rant? According to them, Vaccaro should have not been picked ahead of an LSU DB. Frankly, I don't know why any team would draft anyone ahead of any LSU player. What are those front offices thinking?

Paid professionals make shitty decisions all the time. In the NFL Draft they're called busts.

A good MLB player fails 70% of the time. Does that mean you would only fail 60% of the time?
