I've only seen one or two of these guys pick the Saints and just don't get it. I could see this if the game was outside in the cold, but the game is in a dome. Brees vs Keenum in his first playoff game, Payton vs Zimmer, Saints RBs vs Vikings RBs and I realize their defense is better, but the Saints D can hold these replacement guys just as much as their defense can hold our offense.

Drew brees’ playoff road record

This is his first playoff road game in a dome and brees plays well in the playoffs. I don’t think this defense shits the bed, and the saints win by 4-7 points

They're both paid pro teams.

Minnesota was at home resting last week.

They won more games over the course of the year.

They beat us.

It's IN MINNESOTA with a Ref crew that favors the home team.

Experts picking them isn't that surprising.

All that said..We do have the better coach and QB....I like our chances.

They beat us with Cook, Bradford and a Saints defense that was totally different and without Kamara settling in. Keenum with playoff pressure I think just plays more into our favor. I get some of the picks being Minnesota, but I'm beyond shocked at how one sided it is.

I've honestly like it better when they pick against us. So when we do win, the tears of the experts taste so much sweeter.

They're following a scripted narrative most likely and/or they're afraid to say how they feel. I'm sure Deion will walk back his words on Sunday when the Saints win.

Don't forget their job is creating "news" all week long and you wouldn't watch if they laid out all the unemotional facts just like you did (playing indoors, far more playoff experience, better RBs & offense). Don't forget the NFC North is the worst division in football too!

Who Dat!

Because they’re still a really good team? I’m pretty sure few (if any) of these experts are expecting the Vikes to blow us out.

I think some of you are underestimating that offense. They’re not elite but they’re still solid. And our defense hasn’t fared well the last 2 weeks because of all the injuries. Also our offense, while great, can be very inconsistent (mediocre 3rd down percentage) and they have the best defense in the league.

Two reasons:

1 - defense wins championships. They have the best.

2. Brees is 1-4 on the road in the playoffs (against good defenses).

The neutralizer: What will determine if we can move the chains and put points on the board is if we can run the ball.

We run, we win. If we have to rely on Brees slinging it, it's gonna be tough.

Home game for Minny.
They’ve had two weeks of rest.
We have a ton of injuries compared to them.
They beat us head-to-head this year.
They have a better record than us.
Brees’ road playoff record.

Easy for outside analyst to pick them.

You don't understand people picking the #2 seed, playing at home, with the best defense in the league?

The word “think” demonstrates such unwavering confidence, right? 4-7 points isn’t a lot.

Have to agree with this, good point. I think they also can't forget to throw the ball to Kamara like they did last week.

Again, I'm not saying it's an easy Saints win or that it's crazy to pick the Vikings, but the Saints are good too damnit!

I don't understand ALL of them picking that way as I said.

Eta: Vikings also played in a shitty division while Saints were in toughest in NFL possibly.

What if they all picked Minnesota for the reasons mentioned above? Doesn’t mean they think we’re going to get blown out or something.

For the record, I've actually seen a pretty even split of picks for this game. It's certainly not "everyone picking the Vikings." If anything I'm surprised at the amount of respect we're getting on the road.

That's a lot of points dude. The Saints are already getting 5

And I dropped the defense argument, it will be a all night back and forth bc I dont agree with much you've said

We'll see and maybe I'm setting myself up for disappointment, but I see the Saints winning this game for the reasons I mentioned above.
