It's a breath of fresh air to see new hires, new interviews, and no more good old buddy system

I'll take it, I don't know if it'll work, but it's different and we needed different

Although I do like what I'm seeing so far

This is as good as it gets for Saints optimism.

Moore is on his honeymoon, we haven’t restructured the 35 year olds yet like we will do within a month, and the draft is 2 months away.

Reality will hit when the games start and the injuries pile up again and reveal a horrible roster. When several of the draft picks are apparent busts again we’ll get that reminder of what life as a Saints fan is all about.

Moore I think will be at least at above .500 after year 3. Not saying GREAT, but good enough to remain HC into year 4+. Even if you don't LOVE the hire, nobody should HATE the hire.

But I do love the staff that he has built thus far, especially for being the last HC hire he did not have first pick of the litter. But each coaching hire thus far has a resume worthy of optimism. Same as with Moore in that even if you don't LOVE the hire, nobody should HATE the hire.

Now hopefully we hire a DC today and start finishing out defensive staff hires and ST's.

You dont consider him hiring a bunch of guys he has coached with before as a “buddy system”?

Oh you think this is just about this year. Honestly for Kellen this is a free year for me. I’m not even going to judge him at all this year.

Yep.

The only person I'm judging this season is Mickey Loomis. He needs to course correct and make decision that fix this cap.

Yeah, I expect a terrible season but hopefully some shades of a better tomorrow also emerge.
