Edge rushers are flying off the shelf and getting PAID. I have a strange feeling It’s going going to be Terry Fontenot stealing him to Atlanta.

With as hard as it is to find good pass rushers I don’t see why we can’t pay Hendrickson even with the cap situation. You can give him 3 years $30 million and backload the shite out of it when the cap will be much higher so he only costs $2-3 million on the books this year. I just have no confidence in Davenport shouldering the load and while I like Granderson, we know what we have with Trey.

They are going to give extensions to all 3 of Ramcyzk, Lattimore and Williams this offseason so that solves the remaining cap issue. We are only $5 mil over right now. Extending all 3 will give you about $20 million more. The draft class will cost about $7 mil assuming they keep the picks they have which won’t happen. So you end up with around $7-8 million to sign free agents. Extending Armstead frees up another $6-10 million so they have room to add good players. I’m sure getting Jameis is the first priority.

I’d imagine Trey commands somewhere in the $12-$15M/yr range, just my guess.

Barrett and Hendrickson is not a goo comparison. Barrett is on another level. I could see Trey getting anywhere from $9-13 mil annually but not $15 mil.

It probably will be the Jets. They have over 60 mil in cap space. Hendrickson has the luxury of going to whoever overpays him the most.

Jets are about to get a plus pass rusher & also gashed against the run. He has to be a starting DE with that high of a salary.

Yeah no doubt. For whatever reason we let guys like hicks and ninkovich head out the door and keep guys that can’t produce
