Roman will not be asked to cover as much.

This is a good thing.

Reggie Bush is a good RB.

he's rushed for 1,000 yards in 1 year in his career. he's not a good RB

Mark Ingram, while everyone else seems to hate his guts, the jury is still out on him.

the "jury" will be "out" until the fans give up like they are doing with harper

I'm not saying you will be wrong. I'm not saying I didn't want Jarvis Jones to be the pick. I'm just saying Vaccaro replaces a weakness just like Jones would have. I don't hate that.

He's a terrific running back. I agree with you.

Roman Harper was a second round pick

Point taken. Plus he's a solid football player. Just not a great coverage guy.

Correct.

Absolutely correct again. I think he'll have a breakout year.

Do you not realize that RB's in the new NFL aren't really 35 carry per game mules anymore? This is a committee RB league now. You can do far, far worse than Reggie Bush in your stable, bro. Don't be silly.

Thanks for explaining why you shouldn't waste the #2 overall pick on any RB not named Adrian Peterson.

he's had ONE 1,000 yard season

what was his top ranking in terms of rush years in a season? 11 in 2011? his BEST year

Steelers 1st round since 2006:

Santio Holmes
Lawrence Timmons
Rashard mendenhall
Evander hood
Maurkice pouncey
Cam heyward
David decastro

I know pouncey has been good. Holmes was pretty good. Don't know much about the rest besides mendenhall who was ok.

Saints 1st rounders since 2006:

Reggie bush
Meachem
Ellis
Jenkins
Robinson
Jordan
Ingram

Certainly not the best group. Jordan is good. Bush and Meach were good with us. Ellis was shite. Jenkins was shite

While I agree the steelers have been better it isn't like they were picking all world players.

People can talk shite about the bush pick in hindsight but EVERYONE would have picked him there. Don't act like you didn't like the pick when it happened.

Love the pick. Wanted Jones, but Vacarro was 2nd on my wishlist.

I've been on the war path against Roman Harper for 3 years.

I can sleep better now.

I did too. But Vaccaro fills a need that was just as pressing as the need Jones would have filled. Do not hate.

yeah, I guess I wanted a D-lineman more but who are we kidding? This defense needed help all over the place.

it just seems like the safety class was deep?

While my profile date doesn't reflect it, I was here when that happened and will go on record saying SFP dumped on both the Bush and Harper picks.

Timmons is good. The Steelers are a great franchise and they draft well. Most of those picks were also closed to the bottom half of the 1st round, unlike ours.

I agree with what you said on Bush - he was a must pick for us, brought star power, and we won a SB, so it worked out.
