He’s missed a lot of open throws.

And he's about to fall apart. He would be the qb version of Payton turner

Continuously flinching in the national championship game isn't a good look.

Would have loved to see him against this defense without whatever mid section injury he is fighting through. He is throwing injured and afraid to get hurt even worse

Definitely that. But he was off all night. That UM front is nasty. Tore up Bama. With that pressure, he folded pretty thoroughly tonight all around.

Maybe. This is mccarthy's 3rd year of CFB, and this is penix's 6th.

And mccarthy cannot carry his team in the least. Penix actually has and can

Penix in year 3...
56.4% 1645 yds 7.5 per 14 td 4 int
136.53 rating
18 rushes 25 yds 2 td

McCarthy in year 3...
73.2% 2851 yds 9.1 per 22 td 4 int
170.09 rating
60 rushes 171 yds 3 td

ETA... McCarthy will most likely be a 3-year nfl qb when he's penix's current age

So one game: Texas - he’s the future
Next game: Michigan, the best team of the year, he’s now a pass.

He was 2nd in the heisman. He was hurt. Has the 2 best assets in a qb, pocket awareness and accuracy

I don't want a marginally talented guy who has to do yoga in order to control his emotions either.
