I can't believe how good he looked, especially in pass protection. Ruiz helped him out on a lot of plays, but he also did some one on one blocking in pass protection and looked great. What a find by our personnel dept.

So you're saying he's ready for Aaron Donald? He's a Carl Nicks clone? B/c I believe all these things!

Neither, but he was damn impressive for a UDFA getting his first real PT

Is there any player in the league ready for 1-on-1 all game against Donald?

Retired. Pay's not very good, but it's a great environment

He really fell through the cracks. He's an all american from a power 5 blue blood, but went undrafted because the nerds didnt like his hips or whatever.

Glad he's a Saint.

Probably not but if I had to pick an interior OL that might be able to handle Aaron Donald 1 on 1 all game I’d go with Quenton Nelson.

Funny story, SP said, if he was healthy, Clapp would have replaced McCoy at C. So, there’s that.

In defense of all scouts, he was stiff as hell coming out of college. Big and strong but couldn’t move. He has improved his athleticism

Throckmorton - Best name on the team. Told my wife she was going to get the “Trockmorton” later. She had no doubt about what I meant, but even with the great nickname, it was still a no

Nelson is an absolute mule. I remember him manhandling Devin White on the goal line when LSU played Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl in January 2018.

I was more surprised he never got drafted. I thought he was pretty good when he was at Oregon.

4 year starter at Oregon. Started 48 games. 1st Team All-Pac 12. 2nd Team All-American his junior and senior years. Allowed one sack in his final 45 games. The kid was a very productive college player at a very good program
