How does it feel to have Superbowl team ripped away by the NFL?

Think about all the time and money you invested into the New Orleans Saints only to have that moment when they are the best team in the NFC and going to the Superbowl ripped away from us....Because the NFL needs the LA market to succeed at any cost. That is what happened yesterday and nothing will ever change that.

It does...especially considering how hard it is to get to a Superbowl.

Amen.

That is what is so infuriating about the "it's just a game everyone calm down" line. I understand it's just a game, and I understand players play it and the fans cheer, however I spent a couple of thousand dollars just yesterday and a few more thousand over the past season to watch my team play. So to have the entire season come down to shity officiating call is truly infuriating.

And worse there is absolutely no mention of it by anyone that matters. At minimum the league should've already fired those refs publicly.

I said it yesterday. Its so rare to even get to a Super Bowl and we just had it ripped from us.

21-0 checked me out of LSU emotionally. This did it for me and the Saints. What sucks is that it was at the hands of someone else

They are not going to fire the refs when they were doing what they were told.

Exactly!! A billion dollar business is not just a game. Jeopardy is a fricking game but does Alex T make 40 million a year hosting it? Hell No!

I feel bad for Brees, Payton, the other coaches, players and staff, and Gayle Benson. Also the diehard fans esp that were there shouting their guys out.

Crushing blow considering everything that went into such a stellar season.

I haven't come close to enjoying LSU like i did before that game. This feels worse to me.

You are right it isn’t just a game, it is a business first and foremost. Do you get excited or upset about the number of cars Benson dealerships sell? Of course not. It is the same thing essentially, so just think of it like that.

It will save you much unnecessary angst and anxiety over something that really is inconsequential to your life.

How do we get Roger to at the very least comment on Rule 17? How much noise needs to be made? How many petitions need to be signed?

I don't want a pre-read statement. I want him to be grilled in a press conference so he get's anxious and stutters.

I have already made that decision for my life. I just hate how people sell it as "just a game" when a ref makes a egregious mistake.

I feel bad for Brees -- less so for Payton.

Refs were getting payback on behalf of the NRA: LINK

Horrible tbh.

I'm still 100% Who Dat. Love this team and city. For me, the Saints transcend just being an NFL team. The relationship between fans, team and city is unique IMO.

Sports in general can divide or unite, but this is a truly special bond.

understood. that game did lots of damage. I also am not emotionally attached to LSU football anymore unless they want to get serious about winning hardware again but that has to come from the BOS on down to the admin.

so far, we have not seen it

right this was not self inflicted like 2011 and 2017 which makes it hard. you are better off having zero emotional or monetary attachment especially to a crooked league and dirty sport. do other things. time is limited on this earth. sadly it takes shite like this at times to remind us. move on. enjoy life with family. go on trips. watch other teams and sports.

it is not worth the monetary or emotional investment when shite like this is allowed to happen.

you are way better off going on vacations spending quality time with family than blowing it on a rigged sport.
