This never happened. No true Saints fan would ever deny being a fan. Were you around in the pre-Jim Mora days?

100% accurate this did not happen. Poster is just making crap up.

You must be under 45 yrs old if you believe this is the Saints worst team ever

You’re setting that age way too high. I’m 40 and I watched some pretty bad teams in the 90’s and early 00’s. He’d have to be under 35. Even some 30-35 year olds probably saw some real bad teams if they were following things before they were 15.

just imagine if Katrina didnt hit lousiana. The rigged nfl doesnt come in and hand pick 30 players to go to the saints to bring revenue back to new orleans and ultimately a super bowl.

That’s a hell of a long con. It was only 4 years after Katrina that the saints won the Super Bowl.

Interesting though how the NFL helped us win a Super Bowl then proceeded to take every opportunity to cut the saints down in the years following.

I remember living in NOLA before the Brees/Payton Era, the Saints were so pathetically bad for so many years that people around town would actually deny being Saints fans. Anybody who admitted to being a Saints fan got laughed at as some kind of masochistic moron who likes to waste time watching that garbage product.

The Saints always had good team support relative to their win/loss record. I bet if you calculate wins per 100,000 attendees the Saints would compare very well to the rest of the NFL. Every team is going to have better attendance if they’re winning. As a losing team, the Saints probably had better attendance than comparable losing teams.

The Saints always had a very loyal following despite the bad teams. They’d show up with bags on their head…but they showed up.

1967-85 was horrible. Haven’t been anywhere near the worst franchise from 86- present and one of the best over the last 15 years

Exactly. Overall, the Saints have been a pretty good franchise since Tom Benson bought them. Definitely some down years from 1994-1999 and again in 2005, but overall, they’ve been average to excellent. This is the worst season in the past 16 years. As an NFL fan, that’s pretty good.

Since 1986 (when Benson acquired the franchise), the Saints are 10th in the league in wins.

Since the 2006 season (Payton’s first year) they are 4th behind the Patriots, Packers, & Steelers

Overall, since the Saints entered the NFL in 1967, they are 20th at 400 Wins, 458 Losses, and 5 Ties

So OP is dum.

I mean, a team with a Super Bowl win is not the worst team ever. Clown,
