One play does not, and will not define a player

He will be fine

Marcus just posted on twitter

quote:

I appreciate my friends, real fans, family, and team for everything they have done for me this season all of the support is highly appreciated! No the season didn’t end as planned but one thing for sure I won’t let one play define the type of MAN or PLAYER that I am or will be!

According to PFF, he was elite all year. 6th best in succesful tackle %, number 1 amongst all rookies, and one of the best DBs in coverage all year. He fricked up, and he knows he fricked up, lets keep the spirits high and make another run next year with a potentially even more dangerous team.

It was a bonehead play. But he still has my support. He is one of the reasons this team was even in that position to win the game. He will bounce back. We will bounce back.

I read somewhere earlier today that was only the 6th tackle he missed all year. That is a mind blowing stat to me.

Me too. It appears to be. I just hope the few douchebags in our fan base don't hound him forever.

Marcus needs to get a little more contrition from my view. I am all for the kid coming back from his play and don't want to beat him to a pulp, but he still doesn't seem to get that the entire planet is calling this the worst play in NFL playoff history. This and the SB Seattle pass call that was intercepted are my top two over 50 years of watching.
