Dean was too good to pass on even though the need is there for a WR. Best case would be to get Dean and trade up for Wilson or Olave or Williams. Got a good shifty WR in the 2nd though.

Very deep for d line and wide receiver.

I find that a lot of the same names keep coming up over and over again when you do these things multiple times. Meaning, the same highest-rated players are always at the top of the board because all the teams pass on them in every draft.

I did a couple of these and i grabbed james cook the rb from Georgia in the 3rd.
I just don't think he is going to make it till the 4th. Someone is going to get an absolute steal in the 3rd.
Split carries so his tread is low. He can run and catch at elite levels. Such a smooth runner. He kind of reminds me of a faster kamara.
Would y'all be mad if we used one of our 3rds on cook/rb?

If we go for a RB in the third, we absolutely have to hit it. I’m on board to take a RB this draft, but viable players can be found at that position in the 4th and 5th round. So if we’re spending a third, given the other needs we have, it needs to be an instant impact player.

I’m shocked no one is taking a WR in the 1st. I really thought that’s where most would go.
I took Dean in the first. Not a need at the moment, but I think he’s the next great difference making LBer in the mold of Ray Lewis or Jonathan Vilma. And I think Davis only has another year or two left in him.
After that, we need WR, O line depth and a RB for when Kamara misses time IMO.

I was really tempted, but I like Pickett more than most here it seems. If he’s available at 18, I think it would be a major mistake to pass up the chance to lock down a future franchise QB.
Plus, I really like Doubs as a sleeper prospect. Lock him up with one of our third rounders, and I suspect we’ll all be asking how this guy fell to third in a just a couple years.
So I’m certainly not averse to drafting a WR in the first, but this feels like a draft where viable prospects are available in rounds 2 and 3
Side note: my favorite pick of my simulator was Zyon McCullom in the 6th. WR in 1st is becoming like RB. The value just isn’t there any more. With the proliferation of 7 v 7 & spread offenses, there are good WRs everywhere you look.
In fact the 2nd round has been the sweet spot the last few drafts.

I wouldn’t mind either this or using our 1st and trading back into the end of the round or early 2nd to pick up a WR.
