Not totally true. I can watch Jason David getting burned all day.

How long have you been watching the Saints breaux?
Posted on 3/16/17 at 4:09 pm to Chad504boy
He did well in his first couple of years, got the contract, and it was ugly. My big memory of him was letting that INT go through his hands, right into a waiting TO for a TD against Dallas in '06. He had a cast on but it was a pretty fitting play. He tied with Sean Taylor for most TD catches allowed that season.

Jason David played the ball, and always missed

except now that he is going to be wearing a saints uniform the refs will likey call half of those pass breakups as interference.
they aren't but the refs always make up bullshite calls against any saints DB that makes a great play

Fred Thomas cost us the 2006 nfc championship game by himself
Nope nope nope nope nope.
Bullocks was supposed to be playing deep to his side and he was NEVER in position.
There was a play with the Lions where he literally ran to the wrong side of the field AFTER the ball was in the air, and he wasn't chasing anyone. He literally just ran the wrong way for no reason.
frick Bullocks for ruining Fred's good name.

Mike mckenzie was decent
Money mike was more than decent for us. His time in NOLA is really underrated.

It was also extremely short due to injuries, sadly.
Edit:
Longer than I thought. I forgot it was 04 when we got him.
Still he only started 4 seasons worth of games for us.

I never said he was good. I said he played the ball. 15 ints in his 5 years starting for us.
That's way more than most corners get here.

Duncan actually had a decent and relevant piece on the CB situation. I am giving them credit for not standing still after a three season 21-27 run. The results are to be seen but at least it won't be the same story we hope.
n 50 seasons, the Saints have had three Pro Bowl cornerbacks: Dave Whitsell (1967); Dave Waymer (1987); and Eric Allen (1996). The current 21-year Pro Bowl drought is the longest in the NFL, a staggering run of futility at the position.
The Saints have tried just about everything over the years to address what is arguably the most important position in the game other than quarterback. They selected corners in the first round of the NFL draft (Alex Molden, Malcolm Jenkins, Patrick Robinson,), bought veterans in free agency (Jabari Greer, Keenan Lewis, Brandon Browner), signed restricted free agents to offer sheets (Jason David) and took fliers on Canadian Football League prospects (Delvin Breaux).
Little has worked, although Breaux has been a pleasant surprise given his modest pedigree and relative lack of experience.
The Saints have fielded a number of good cornerbacks over the years. But they've lacked the proverbial shut-down guy.
All of this historical context is meant to explain why the Saints might be so hell-bent on acquiring Malcolm Butler.

quote:And you would be right cause that dude was terrible, but he played more safety than corner. Throw some names at you and see if you remember these guys?? I was a kid when they played, a couple of small tenacious 5'8" or 9" CB's that played together in Ernie Jackson and Maurice Spencer, and then there was Fred Thomas and Johnnie Poe.
I never said he was good.

I think they should have signed Mo Claiborne, but oh well, too late for that now.

Yes. This thread, like a of your threads, is misguided and stupid.

Lmao I remember David being our prized FA pick up and week one, Peyton Manning made us regret his bitch arse. I don't know if I've ever seen a CB victimized like David was in that game.
