Has Burrow surpassed Brees?

As most beloved Louisiana athlete?

Yes, if counting the whole state.
No, if counting only NOLA area.

Jesus Christ.

I guess we should build a statue for Matt Mauck while we are at it.

I fully believe that the vast majority of natives who are fans of both teams, outside of NOLA area, would take a LSU NC over Saints SB.

That in itself doesn’t make it ridiculous. The question was is he the state’s most beloved athlete, not just the city’s. I’m gonna go ahead and guess you live in NOLA metro.

I mean, Shaq is a much better candidate than Burrow.

Joe is from Ohio and plays for a franchise in Ohio.

Shaq never made me want to cheer for the Lakers, Heat, or anyone else.
Louisiana’s reaction to Burrow and the Bengals is pretty reflective of how he’s viewed in this state. And it’s not a “we hate the Chiefs,” thing either. It’s been there since last year.

The only people in Louisiana who would put Burrow over Shaq are white.

Not gonna continue this beyond this post, but weird that you’d assume my race?

Is this a serious question?

You honestly don't think black people are bigger fans of black athletes?

The same goes for white people.

Pointing out facts isn't racist. They're facts.

No… I didn’t go to LSU and I don’t give a frig about Joe Burrow

That said I hope he destroys whichever CA team makes it through
