he would have hooked it bad had it not been tipped.

I don't know why we even have goal post. We can just get people with your skill of calculating trajectory, spin, wind, tips and velocity to allow the kicker to just kick into a wall, and they can determine if the ball would go through the uprights.

With the way kicks hook, especially in the wind in that stadium, no way to tell. The way it started looked left, but it would have been far from the first kick to draw back inside.

P.S. No way anybody can tell he was going to hook it wide if it hadn't been tipped. That's just silly.

you cant see it on that youtube clip, but they showed an angle during the game last night and it was obvious he was going to hook it

Just amazing...we have people on here who can tell if a field goal will go in or not before the ball even passes the line of scrimmage.

And people wonder why SaintsReport is head and shoulders above this forum.

Obviously I wasn't referring to TD as a whole.

Just the Saints Talk vs Saints Report.

SR doesn't allow stupid threads like this.

And I appreciate you calling me a non-retard

The first shot of the kick made it look to me like it was going to be wide. However, the replay they showed close up behind the kick, it was obviously going to be a good kick, but the tip made it go shorter and more straight.

I can't. I got banned years ago

It was a thread asking who was the most overrated saint of all time. I said Roaf as a joke. Admin told me to delete my comment. I refused because I didn't do anything wrong. Boom. Life time ban

It skimmed the side of his arm.... In my professional opinion, I think it was just enough to effect the spin... Not the path of the ball

but who cares it went in and hartley had a perfect night

Watch the replay and there's a clear trajectory change when it hits. Had to be more than a skim.

But yep, a win no matter how you spin it.

Ball looked like it was hooking left similar to his miss against Tampa last year.

Yanno, there's really one big difference, besides the tip, between his Tampa kick and the San Fran kick.

The, uh, 49er kick went THROUGH, and, uh, we won the game. You remember that, right?

You, sir, fail.

I wonder if Morestead isnt holding it well or something.

Hartley just seems like he isnt stroking it cleanly or something.

How is it a fail? I realize it went in. Just commenting that I don't believe that kick goes in if not for the tip. I may be wrong about that, but it really doesn't matter either way.

100% sure the ball hit the wrist area of the guy with the black tape on his hand

the way the ball started fluttering, should obviously let you know its trajectory was altered

It veers left, is tipped right, and is still hooking left after the tip. That would have been a very ugly miss.
