Connick -- musician, singer, actor and New Orleans' favorite son -- fired off a letter to the commissioner after a non-call in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game cost the Saints a trip to the Super Bowl in a 26-23 overtime loss to the Rams. Connick posted the letter to his Instagram two hours after the game:

Oh no, the ratings will plummet by one person.

Surely he's not going to some glamorous super bowl party.

Wish he would physically beat Goodell’s arse instead

UMMM, his show is pretty popular and he has a lot of fans otherwise. You don't think he has an influence? You think his opinion means nothing? With his profile?

Sure. A daytime talk show host will lead the biggest super bowl boycott ever. 10s of people will stand in solidarity.

This melt needs to stop. Please.

Every single one of us will watch the super bowl like normal.

You are an idiot. It all starts with one person. And one person. And then two, three, four.
Has to start somewhere. Even the big markets will see it and respond

Two replies from people who obviously don't have friends to have super bowl parties with.

In about a week, this melt will be done and everyone will continue to watch like normal.

Biggest boycott ever? Hyperbole much? When did I say that? When did I even imply that? You act like he has no influence at all. Believe me, the last thing the NFL wants is a bunch of influential media personalities and Hollywood stars writing open letters boycotting the NFL. Or do you think that's good for the NFL's business model?

I haven't watch the Super Bowl in many many years. I've known for a long time that the NFL massages the outcomes of the games. If you really pay attention to the way games are called and youve seen a lot of football games you can see all the narratives shake out just the way you would have predicted them if you were a television executive

Bro you just went from one side of the spectrum to the complete opposite.

Maybe take a break and post again tomorrow when the loss doesn't sting that badly.

Agree with Conick. Super bowl is a joke this year. Worst matchup possible. Won’t watch either

What a wussie. The NFL was absolutely hurt by the people walking away because of the kneeling crap. People that were fans of other teams saw this as well. The nfl made a money grab move and everyone saw it. The straws on the camels back are piling up.
