Who just so happens to fit our offense perfectly. We are only 1 or 2 players away from another Lombardi. He might be the missing piece to make our offense unstoppable.

to move up to a spot where we can nab him, i think we'd have to give up This year's 3 and at least next year's 3. May not be such a horrible trade.

Most here will disagree with it, but I think it would be worth it.

I've heard Cooks' name a lot and don't really know how good he is, and here is the first thing I saw on him per nfl.com after looking him up.

Weaknesses
Size is just adequate -- is small-framed and lacks ideal length and bulk. Vulnerable to the jam and reroute. Relatively small catch radius. Has small hands and double-catches some throws. Lacks elite, blazing speed to run by NFL corners and safeties. Will struggle to play "above the rim" at the next level. Was not an impactful punt returner. Limited run strength. Poor blocker.

Outside of his height at 5'10", isn't that the same problem we had with Lance Moore???

I'm not blasting you. Alot of GMs get it wrong too.
I just disagree with the premise that having a deep draft at a position means that it's always a bad decision to move up. If some player can be special within your scheme and system, it might be the best decision.

Now, you can make a case for Moncreif or others as being just as good as Cooks.
Or that you don't have Cooks graded that highly.
That's fair. That's a good discussion.

But unless you've done your research showing that Cooks isn't worth trading up for and are basing your critique on it being a "deep draft". (which I assumed you were). Your opinion is... less valuable.

I read the article and watched his highlight reel. This dude is the real deal. Football smart. High character values. Works his arse off. Fastest time in the combine this year.

This was a great pick. And if we don't trade up for him, Philly gonna take him, no doubt.

Yea buddy, I can't wait to see this guy in the dome.
