The asking price is a 1st and a 3rd round pick. That's a little steep.

Jets don't want to do Adams' deal after three years for the highest-paid-safety money he wants.

what should we pay him with Loomis ...poboys and muffaletas???

or I guess you think he'd take less since he went to LSU???

1st + 3rd to get + top safety money

...who we cutting?

I love Adams he might be the best safety in football but we cant afford the draft capital much less the total asking price

Now if the Jets value Marcus as a 1st round talent then maybe but I doubt it. Plus they dont want to pay Adams...why would they want to pay Marcus

not sure anyone can afford the highest paid CB and Safety on the same defense

Yeah it's steep but you always want to consider it when it's a guy that can be a difference maker. This is already a roster that can make a run at the Super Bowl, so why not increase the chances of that by adding another stud?

I mean definitely more reasonable than a 1 and 3. Still wouldn't trade Williams though

Because Marcus is plenty good enough to not mortgage premium picks for an upgrade at a non premium position....and then have to pay him the highest salary in the league for a non premium position.

Jamal is an "in the box" type safety and Marcus is more of a deep safety. Honestly I would rather keep Marcus,I don't see why people are so down on him. Dude been playing well for us. Some of yall are still stuck on a few plays he missed but Jamal doesn't make every play as well. Marcus is also better in coverage than Jamal but Jamal is a better down safety. So it really depends on how would they be used.

It actually makes sense to get Adams for cheap. Malcolm Jenkins is getting up in age. He could replace Jenkins unless they feel comfortable with CJ and Williams to take over when Jenkins retires. If the price is too high, I'd pass and hope a safety falls in the draft in the next couple of years. Ther are lots of safeties out there but there's not many Jamal Adam's.
