I'd take an 0-16 season for him to not have that disease. Met him in 05. Awesome guy

I think he's about to get hooked up to some bigger machines.

Saying a prayer for him and his family.

Talk about a scary, horrible disease. My uncle died from ALS and I can't imagine many worse things in life. He was a doctor who graduated from Tulane and was one of the smartest men you'd ever meet. He knew the disease and understood everything that was happening to him......so sad. My thoughts go out to Steve Gleason and anyone else affected by that terrible illness.

Working in hospice care over the passed few years, I've seen ALS take some of our patients pretty quickly. When the decline starts, it happens rapidly. Lots of prayers for Steve Gleason tonight.

I wouldn't wish that disease on my worst enemy. Such a sad thing to see life sucked out of someone who was always so strong.

Scariest thing is that we know absolutely nothing about the disease. What causes it, how to treat it, etc

fricking horrible. ALS ALWAYS seems to strike people who are NOT assholes. Always here about just nice decent fricking people with it.

Team Gleason just tweeted that he's being treated for flu like symptoms and is already feeling better. Waiting on test results.

Good to hear man, definitely was worried when they mentioned his exit to the hospital during the game.
