One of the best young DEs in the league, still on his rookie deal… and would take our defense to another level as he fills a hole in the roster opposite Chase Young

Straight up trade Rattler After Preseason. That would be a good trade.
Rattler should Command a 1st.

No. Give Cleveland a 3rd and Rattler for Denzel Ward.

Make a decision next offseason on Bressee/ Granderson where we can package both for $25mil and take back a big contract.

I’m sure they’d jump on giving up the centerpiece of the trade for one of if not the best players in their franchises history.

Yeah, because they need yet another QB and Ward has such low value.

Are you insinuating that Sanders and Gabriel are better than Rattler? I highly doubt any team gives up a 1st for him. Probably a 2nd/ 5th or 3rd/ 4th.

He has not looked as good compared to a few years ago, is 29 y/o, and a team is taking on $35mil.

Rattler also should have value around a 3rd-4th. So you are essentially giving them a mid round 3rd/4th.

I have no idea what his trade value would be, but what makes you think it’s so high? He has shown to be kind of competent, but that’s about all. He was picked in the 5th round 3 drafts ago, has gone 2-14 as a starter and has thrown only 12 TD’s. From another team’s perspective, why wouldn’t they just draft their own QB with that 2nd rounder and get 2 more years on a rookie deal out of him?

You would be very lucky to get 5th. 6th more likely. If you're lucky.

Ok, that makes more sense. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
